A Journey Inspired by Finding Nemo
Dr Benny’s path to dentistry began with an unexpected source of inspiration: the movie Finding Nemo. As a child, she found herself more afraid of the dentist character than the sharks! However, her perspective changed dramatically through her positive dental treatment experiences. Her family dentist’s kind and caring demeanour played a crucial role in shaping her appreciation for dentistry as a health profession.

Dr Benny loves dentistry because it allows her to empower people to take ownership of their health. She enjoys working with her hands and is committed to providing gentle, holistic, and quality care. Her approach to dentistry is centred on creating a comfortable and positive experience for all patients, especially those who might be nervous about dental visits.

Education and Qualifications
Dr Benny completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine with Distinction (DMD Dist) at The University of Western Australia (UWA) in 2023. Prior to this, she earned her Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Medical Science) (BBioMedSc) also from UWA, building a strong foundation for her dental career.
Life Outside the Dental Practice
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr Benny enjoys a variety of interests. She loves playing synthesisers and is an avid fan of sci-fi TV shows, with a special love for Star Trek and The X-Files. Dr Benny also cherishes spending quality time with her fiancé and cuddling with her British shorthair cat, Reggie.
